Stage 4 – Data, Results & Confidentiality
1. Scope
This Stage 4 NDA applies to any non-public information you provide for the Simulation Run, including:
- study or device datasets (patient-level or experiment-level),
- derived tables or intermediate files,
- any additional notes or documents that describe your data or scenarios,
(together, “Stage 4 Data”).
It does not apply to information that is already public or that we generate independently without using your Stage 4 Data.
2. Purpose of use
Method2Model.com will use your Stage 4 Data only to:
- run the agreed simulations using the Stage 3 code package,
- generate the Simulation Results Package (SRP),
- perform basic quality checks and reproducibility checks related to those runs.
We will not use your Stage 4 Data to:
- build a separate commercial product,
- train generic machine-learning models for unrelated projects,
- or start a competing project on your specific study idea,
unless we have your written consent in a separate agreement.
3. Data handling and security
Method2Model.com will:
- store Stage 4 Data on secured systems with access limited to team members involved in your project,
- take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect against unauthorised access or disclosure.
Where possible, we encourage you to:
- de-identify data before sharing,
- avoid direct identifiers (names, full addresses, national IDs, etc.).
If fully de-identifying the data is not feasible, we will discuss an appropriate handling procedure with you before Stage 4 begins.
4. Sharing with third parties
By default, Method2Model.com will not share your Stage 4 Data or project-specific results with third parties.
Exceptions:
- if you explicitly ask us to work with a collaborator and approve this in writing;
- if we use trusted technical collaborators who are under equivalent confidentiality obligations;
- if we are legally required to disclose something (court order, regulator, etc.).
Where legally allowed, we will notify you before such a disclosure.
We do not sell or trade your Stage 4 Data.
5. Publication of models, code, and examples
Method2Model.com is allowed to:
- publish generic versions of the model and code (for example, in a public GitHub repository or on our website),
- create and publish synthetic or fully anonymised example datasets,
- show anonymised, aggregated, or illustrative outputs that do not reveal your identity, institution, or study-specific dataset.
We will not:
- publish your raw Stage 4 Data,
- publish patient-level or record-level outputs that could be re-identified,
- mention your name, institution, or project title in public materials unless you give us written permission.
High-level patterns (e.g. “how to structure this type of simulation” or generic code utilities) may be reused in other projects, but without exposing your data or private project details.
6. Ownership
You keep ownership of your Stage 4 Data and of any project-specific scientific content.
Method2Model.com keeps ownership of its generic models, code, tools, and frameworks.
The Simulation Results Package (SRP) is produced for your project. You are free to use it for your own research, internal reports, and publications, subject to any separate contractual terms we may agree.
We may refer to our experience from Stage 4 in an anonymised way (for example, “we tested this method on a real oncology dataset”), without identifying you or your dataset.
7. Duration and relationship
This Stage 4 NDA applies from the moment we receive your Stage 4 Data.
For each piece of Stage 4 Data, confidentiality obligations last until that data becomes public through no fault of ours, or you release us from confidentiality in writing.
This NDA does not create a legal partnership, employment, or joint venture. It only governs how we handle Stage 4 Data and related outputs.
